Date & Time

Description

Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) remains the gold-standard behavioral treatment for Tic Disorders, yet relatively few clinicians are trained or experienced in delivering it. Improving access to evidence-based care is a critical need. This session introduces a practical framework for using artificial intelligence as a “thinking partner” to strengthen CBIT delivery without replacing clinical judgment. Presenters will demonstrate how AI tools can support the entire treatment arc—from psychoeducation and motivation, developing a tic hassles inventory, and conducting a functional assessment of tics to competing response training, parent involvement, and managing executive-function challenges common in Tic Disorders. The session will also highlight how AI can help clinicians tailor interventions to developmental level, comorbidity profiles, and individual interests to enhance engagement. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies and sample prompts they can begin using immediately to improve engagement, consistency, and outcomes in CBIT, while maintaining ethical safeguards and clinician oversight.
